About Us
Looking back, what we accomplished seemed like an impossible task. Becoming the leading lechon dealer in the country is no easy feat. As we always say, our success is a mixture of “sipag, tiyaga, tipid, lakas ng loob, swerte, at tiwala sa Diyos.”
MILA’S LECHON began in the late ’60s when the hardworking couple, Serafin and Antonina Cesario, decided to supplement their income by selling lechon in La Loma. This venture was initially nothing more than an additional source of income to support their corn and sari-sari store. Little did they know how profoundly this new business would influence not only their lives but also the culinary preferences of Filipinos.
Aling Nena had a penchant for naming their business endeavors after her children. Thus, in 1968, when Aling Nena’s youngest daughter Milagros was born, they named the lechon business “Mila’s” in her honor.
The Journey of Mila’s Lechon & Restaurant
Thirty-seven years on, what started as a struggling business, nurtured from its infancy, has blossomed into a major industry that many have tried to rival. From a modest kiosk in La Loma, Mila’s has expanded with 8 additional branches in Quezon City. Moreover, they cater to deliveries not only throughout Metro Manila but also to distant provinces such as Ilocos, Baguio, and Quezon.
Mila’s Lechon & Restaurant initially made its mark by selling crispy, sumptuous, and juicy native lechon pork that retains its tenderness for an extended period. Later, they ventured into perfecting the art of roasting calves. Their roasted calf, marinated in a blend of spices and wines, is known for its incredibly tender meat that leaves mouths watering, especially when paired with their original lechon baka gravy. In a commitment to guarantee quality, they took the initiative to breed their own native hogs. This ensures that these hogs are raised with a singular purpose in mind — to provide customers with the finest lechon specimen.
It’s noteworthy that Mila’s Lechon has consistently received accolades, being honored as the Best Lechon Maker since 1973. This serves as a testament to their unwavering dedication to quality and excellence.
